Project Description
listeria outbreak at a food processing plant continues to be a concern for food beverage facilities. Pilgrim’s Pride is an industry leader in preventing them. One of the challenges they face at their chicken tender plants in Arkansas is condensation between rooms and chiller rooms. The condensation is a hotbed for listeria and other bacteria growth. The seams in the insulated metal panels and the porosity of block wall are breading grounds if not treated properly.
Application 1: for the food processing areas that are primarily block wall the concrete was prepared to CSP 4 – 5 and FT-1585 Aliphatic polyurea was sprayed at 60 mils.
Application 2: For the chiller rooms the stainless panels were water sanded to achieve a 3 mil profile. Next the FT-1585 Aliphatic Polyurea was applied at 60 mils.
The FreedomTuff® product line is a revelation of what Polyureas, Polyurethanes, Polyaspartics and Epoxies are about. When so many products have been “made” for maximum impact, at Freedom® Chemical Corporation we’ve been content to let our products speak quietly. No need to shout when you have something special to say.
