freedomtuff® 2190™ polyurea
freedomtuff ®4300 polyurethane
Project description: Westfield did upgrades to the main place mall in orange, ca so they could accommodate one of their key clients 24 hour fitness. The project included an outdoor pool deck on the 2nd floor that was directly over a panini café. It also included an outdoor sports court on the 3rd level which was directly over the 24 hour fitness.
Pool deck: westfield was looking for a long lasting, durable and fast turnaround waterproofing membrane. The ft-6160 primer went down first at 10 mils and was followed up with ft-sealflex™ polyurea at 120 mls. This system was put down first around the pool and into the pit of the pool prior to the concrete pool liner. The ft-sealflex™ was not in direct contact of the pool water.
Sports court: with the same criteria as the pool deck the application of a sports court system had to be considered over the polyurea system. Ft-6160 was applied at 10 mils followed by 100 mils of ft-sealflex™ polyurea. After the polyurea was installed 24 mils of ft-4300 polyurethane with a full broadcast of 20 mesh sand was applied leaving an aggressive mechanical profile for the sports court system to adhere to.

The FreedomTuff® product line is a revelation of what Polyureas, Polyurethanes, Polyaspartics and Epoxies are about. When so many products have been “made” for maximum impact, at Freedom® Chemical Corporation we’ve been content to let our products speak quietly. No need to shout when you have something special to say.
