Project description: In 2014 Newport Lexus was installing a 7,000 sq.ft. dent and repair garage at their facility in Newport Beach California. This was to be a “state of the art” dent and repair facility. It was positioned directly over the showroom floor so waterproofing the area was going to be critical. In addition to waterproofing given the high profile client and location aesthetics would be as important.

Application: The concrete was shot blasted to spec. the cracks were filled with a single component urethane and allowed to cure for minimum 24 hours. One coat of FT6160 was applied at 5 mils thick. Next FT4300 StoneGrip was applied at 20 mils neat. Another coat of FT4300 StoneGrip Grey was applied at 24 mils and a full broadcast of color paint chips were added. Next the paint chicks were scrapped to remove the high spots. The 1st coat of FT4200 GripSeal Clear was rolled out at 5 mils. The last coat of FT4200 GripSeal was added within 3 hours and allowed to cure for 72 hours before traffic.
